When Lewis Mazza-Carson first opened Pie Rolla's on Karangahape Road in Auckland, he baked just 50 pies–and they sold out in an hour. Within weeks, queues snaked around the block and demand surged fivefold.
The original K’Road spot is evolving into a sit-down venue, creating even more ways to enjoy your pies.
Lewis’ success has been recognised across the hospitality scene, earning him the Best Emerging Talent award at the 2025 Lewisham Awards.
Pie Rolla’s has also teamed up with Huffer for a distinctive collaboration, blending heritage flavours and bold streetwear style. The campaign featured buttery-crusted pies alongside merch that connected fashion and food in a way only Pie Rolla’s can.
Founded on family tradition, Lewis revived recipes handed down from his grandmother and built on the early cafés his parents once ran. Made with all-butter pastry and lovingly crafted fillings, Pie Rolla’s is about keeping heritage alive whilst pushing flavour boundaries with every pie.
